Build Interpersonal Skills, including Leadership Skills

Hybrid changes everything. Since the Covid lockdown more and more companies are accepting that working from home, or a combination of home working and office based work, is here to stay.
This will necessarily involve new and inventive ways of managing teams. Many of the skills managers already hold will still be applicable, but will need to be adapted. Other skills will need to be introduced, and some old ways of working will need to be left behind.
This course will give managers the support to be able to manage a hybrid team or wholly remote team, and overcome the challenges inherent in that model while making the most of the opportunities. We pare back the most successful strategies and approaches of the ‘in-person’ management era and rebuilt them for the new world.
You will learn how to motivate teams remotely; keeping them engaged and ensure that the performance of the team is as efficient as before. We will look at how to manage appraisals, keeping the focus going and deal with difficult conversations remotely.

A strong leader gets the job done, and looks after their people. They grow talent, deliver results, and constantly look for new horizons.
To do this they need to be able to work under pressure whilst ensuring that their team are supported and challenged. They need to be adaptable, able to deal with the unexpected in a calm and measured way.
Leaders need to make their team’s workplace an inclusive space, where staff feels they can voice their ideas. They need to be able to coach their team where necessary and show empathy when needed.
The course is designed for all leaders, experienced or new who will learn to create a positive working environment for their teams through high impact leadership. During this course, leaders will be helped to understand their personal leadership styles. They will learn that leadership is not always about leading from the front. They will recognise that a positive working environment, embodying change and continuing improvement, will help to encourage the talents within the whole team.
